Late Autumn Wasp

I was feeling autumnal, and found this poem by James Hoch, a friend of the Rutgers-Newark MFA program and a 2008 visiting writer here.  I’m just going to post a snippet of his tight little poem, “Late Autumn Wasp”:

One must admire the desperate way 

                it flings

itself through air amid winter’s slow 

                paralysis ...
